The day was pleasant ....started off looking forward for birds ...
the crowd was busy with their works ...
some of the birds which we saw are

blue faced malkoha

common iora ( call )

INVITE:
At the Student's conference on Conservation Science (SCCS) this year, we
are organizing a series of discussions titled "Beyond Science", one on
each day of the conference. These discussions are open to anyone
interested and are NOT restricted only to registered conference
participants. Here we invite you to first discussion in this series titled:
"Films and Conservation"
Date: 15th September
Time : 5.00-7.00 pm
Venue: J N Tata auditorium, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
Session outline:
In this event, renowned wildlife and conservation film-maker Shekar
Dattatri will screen a few of his short conservation documentaries. This
will be followed by a Q&A session moderated by Pavithra Sankaran (Nature
Conservation Foundation, Mysore), during which we invite the audience to
participate in interacting with Shekar. He will share his experiences in
the making of these films, touch upon the role of films in conservation
and talk about how conservation biologists can contribute to film-making
and also use films in their own research.
